About Me

Design hasn't always been my profession. As is the case for many people working in the creative industry, it started out as a hobby and then progressed into something more.

After studying physics at the University of Oxford, I worked in several roles including data processing and data analytics for over a decade. Whilst the analytical side of my brain enjoyed working with numbers and spreadsheets, the creative side was always searching for something more.

I taught myself to use graphic design software and had a side-hustle selling my artwork through Etsy.

In 2022 I relocated from the UK to Pau, France, and the opportunity to create my own business using these new skills presented itself. I spent a further 18 months studying the theory of logo and brand design, before launching SquareKey Studio at the end of 2023.

I now help other business owners as they embark on their own journey!

In my spare time I enjoy working on a large range of creative projects, some of which you can view by following me on Instagram or Facebook. I love hiking, and as I am now lucky enough to live within an hour of the Pyrenees I can often be found on my way to a mountain lake or peak.

I also enjoy photography, and have an unreasonable number of photos stored on my phone at any given time. It's mostly cats.
